Navigating MI Recovery

Familiarize yourself with hundreds of resources across West Michigan, organized for you.

Finding Your Way Around MI Recovery

MI Recovery is designed for both individuals in the community and service providers. Different search features have been designed for individuals on the Community Resources map as compared to the Service Providers map, but the resources and options are all the same. The differences are intended to make your search easier, so use the map that best fits your needs.

How To Use The Community Resource Map

The Community Resource Map is filled with West Michigan locations of all substance use disorder treatment and recovery support resources. In the upper left-hand corner of the map, you will find two boxes, one labeled “Categories” and one labeled “Filters”. Click on one of these boxes to display the search options for the map.

Under “Categories” there will be multiple groups of categories in which the resources are organized. On the community resources map, commonly searched options are included in the categories. For more technical terminology, please use the Service Providers map. Keep in mind that all of the same resources are included in both maps.

Click the category that best includes the type of services in your search. The resources that fit that category will then be displayed on the map as pins. You can click on a pin to display the name and information about a resource. Contact information is included for you to connect with the resource directly.

As you click more categories, more resources will be added as pins to the map. The pins will be colored according to the group in the “Categories” box. If a selection of multiple categories is made across different colored groups, then the pin(s) will be purple. If you would like the map to be exclusive to the multiple categories selected (i.e. fewer resources displayed as more categories are selected), then use the Service Providers map for this search feature.

If you would like to print all of the resources, a CSV file is provided below the map.
